Ripoff! Gopher State has lost all our household goods

Do not patronize! 1) Bait and switch pricing went from ~90/month to $190/month 2) Most important -- they "lost" all my household goods from unit and will not take responsibility. We stored our entire household, lifetime of goods, at the Sylvan Street in November2022 ; paid monthly direct from bank. When we went to retrieve our property in July 2024 we discovered to our horror that Gopher had emptied our assigned unit and filled it with somebody else's stuff. Our goods were neatly packaged and stored -- obviously a household. Gopher has become unresponsive as we try to seek an explanation and redress. Their representative, Dylan, talks a good game but becomes a ghost when it's time to deliver.

You’re missing a lot of details here, Gavin. First of all, we did not “dispose” of your goods. You showed me a picture of how your stuff was nearly and perfectly packed, we rarely do cleanouts as I told you (about once a year) and I showed you our log of cleanouts. It would be extremely alarming to have an unassigned unit neatly packed with somebody’s belongings. If we discovered such a unit, we wouldn’t throw everything out. We have to abide by lien laws to auction or even empty out units, so this wouldn’t be a practice. 2) bait and switch pricing is not accurate, like essentially any facility in America, there are move in promotions which last a limited time and this is clearly shown to you. 3) I spent a lot of time looking through units to find your belongings. If there was a break in to your unit, I highly doubt that any thief would take out every single one of your items from a large storage unit. If you moved into the wrong unit, that’s another story - and this is something we will continue to look out for - however as I’ve told you many times, you have potential coverage for your unit and I am not sure what else you would like me to do for you. Once you start making threats, communication stops IMMEDIATELY.
